Research/Development/Design Engineers

Space Academy Apprentices

If so, would you like to work for a Company that is dynamic, challenging and innovative? Then why not join the Space Academy Apprenticeship Scheme with Magna Parva and the National Space Centre.
General day-to-day work will involve a wide variety of activities, such as: testing hardware and recording test results, assembling manufactured equipment for testing, taking responsibility for hardware quality assurance. Our Space Engineering Apprenticeship will involve detailed training in all aspects of the role, including mechanical and electrical knowledge required by an engineering technician. You must be motivated, committed, organised and enthusiastic, and able to work in a logical and systematic manner.
You should have, or expect to gain, at least 6 GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above, including Maths, English and Science, and be aged 16-18.

Training: Alongside attending our on-site training in Coalville, you will work towards achieving BTEC HNC qualifications, with the opportunity to continue studies towards a degree qualification. In addition to the above you will also receive training at the National Space Centre in Leicester on Space exploration and communication skills.
