Magna Parva's new site in Leicestershire houses a fully integrated Assembly, Integration and Test Facility complimenting our ability of end to end Development, Test and Validation of Space Hardware. Available facilities include:

Environmental Testing

Magna Parva's vacuum ovens are used for a wide variety of vacuum drying, curing and moisture content testing. Common applications include drying heat sensitive samples, moisture determination, drying samples within a controlled atmosphere. Operating features include;

  • A temperature range of 5 degrees above room temperature to 250 degrees
  • A pressure range of 1000mbar to 2mbar
  • (abs)
  • A PC based control system including Microprocessor PID control, Auto-tuning and Calibration, thus enabling thermal cycle testing of components with complete control.
  • Large capacity of up to 65l

Clean Room Facility

Contained within our temperature and humidity controlled laboratory is an established clean room facility including;

  • An ISO class 7 (10,000) modular clean room
  • Zoned working areas achieving ISO class 5 (100)
  • Particle Counters for ISO 14644 certification of Clean rooms enabling constant monitoring of particle levels
  • Technicians trained in Planetary Protection and Bio-Burden control

Magna Parva utilises stringent component cleaning procedures in order to comply with space product assurance. Facilities include:

  • Ultrasonic Baths for aggressive cleaning of components. All Baths include Industrial B.L.T. type ultrasonic transducers generating high-frequency sound waves.
  • High temperature PID controlled vacuum oven enabling vacuum bake out of components for Dry Heat Sterilization and de-gassing.

Magna Parva's AIT Facilities can be made available for use to third parties. For further information and our full list of services please contact us.
